Welcome to the FGBC moderator's log for the next year. Our theme for the 2006 conference, "Hearts on Fire", rather begged for this title, "Another Log on The Fire". I hope that is what each of these articles will serve as throughout the year.
Equip '05 is now a recent memory. The Fellowship Council stepped out and took a risk in changing the annual conference format to a training event. The risk was worth it! The FGBC office and moderators' team has received a mass of positive and enthusiastic comments. So much so, that work on Equip '07 has already begun. And yes, we want to make some significant improvements too, for those who are not feeling as positive.
The point illustrated by Equip '05 is the value of risktaking faith. As the FGBC is now flying well beyond the "brink of opportunity" we will need to take many mid-air risks. You and your churches already have all the resources necessary for the FGBC to take these risks. Let's be encouraged to step out and try things together in biblical, positive, loving, gracious, risktaking faith.
